About

Tako Time is Takahiro Hisada's personal web site. I didn't make this web site solely for the purpose of displaying my resume and past work to my prospect employers (although I am looking at the moment of writing.. feel free to contact me about employment opportunities :) )

I am trying and have some fun with this web site by pulling contents from various SNS services and showcasing my daily interactions with the web: anything from my latest status update on Twitter, tracks scrobbled on Last.fm, photos uploaded on Flickr to blog entries. This way, not only I'll get some experience working with these APIs but also (hopefully) you'll have a better understanding what kind of person I am by looking at what kind of things I am interested in and what I have been up to.

Now, just briefly about myself. I was born in Nagoya, Japan and my family moved to Seattle, US when I was 14. I had my first exposure to the Internet while I was attending high school there and was totally fascinated by it. I started learning basic HTML and JavaScript on my own and took some programming and web/graphic design courses in college. It wasn't long until I began working as a web developer/designer part-time and I did internship in Seattle as well as in Shibuya, Tokyo. I came back to Japan after graduating from the University of Washington and have been working in the IT industry in Tokyo since. I consider myself a open-source web developer with an emphasis on front-end development (PHP, Perl, JavaScript, etc) but I am proficient with RDMS software such as MySQL and Oracle as well.

When I am away from computer, I enjoy checking out good live band gigs, traveling, going to cafe, reading, etc. I now live in Shin-Yokohama, 5 min away from the International Stadium Yokohama where the 2002 FIFA World Cup Final took place.
